Become a Volunteer

HawkQuest conducts ongoing training classes throughout the year. This unique learning experience teaches volunteers to interact with HawkQuest's magnificent raptors safely in a variety of settings. The requirements for volunteering are that you:

1. be at least 18 years of age
2. have a current tetanus shot
3. attend a 16 hour volunteer class
4. observe 2 lectures, 1 booth event and 2 field programs within 30 days of completion of the class
5. spend at least 8 hours per month handling a bird in each of the two months after the class
6. spend at least 4 hours per month handling a bird thereafter

A $50 class fee is required.

If you are interested in volunteering, please click on this Volunteer Application link, complete and print the Volunteer Application and mail it to HawkQuest. (Note: You can either fill out the form on your computer and print it out, or print the blank form and fill it out by hand.) A representative of HawkQuest will contact you soon after receiving your Volunteer Application.
