On June 2, 2007, HawkQuest brought 19 different raptors to Hudson Gardens in Littleton, CO for our 20th anniversary celebration, recognizing 20 years of environmental education and thanking you for your support of our educational mission. HawkQuest Volunteers and Staff Hudson Gardens Hudson Gardens was the ideal setting and the weather was perfect! Up Close and Personal Throughout the day, guests got up close and personal with 19 different HawkQuest raptors, talked with HawkQuest volunteers and took advantage of the great photo opportunities. Educational and Fun HawkQuest Co-founder and Executive Director Kin Quitugua spoke to attentive crowds throughout the day about HawkQuest's owls, falcons, hawks and eagles. A Peregrine falcon shows off his wingspan as Kin describes his unique adaptations for high-speed flight. Flight Demonstrations! Several flight demonstrations, like this one featuring the American Bald Eagle, were highlights of the day. A Barn Owl swoops silently to the perch during a demonstration flight.
